Jay Z Buys 100 Copies of Nipsey Hussles Crenshaw!!
Hova posted an image of a bunch of stacked Crenshaw albums on his Life + Times blog (with the caption #NewRules), while Nipsey confirmed that was indeed Shawn Carter who spent $10,000 supporting the L.A. native-- meaning Jay bought 100 coies. Nipsey posted a receipt of the transaction belonging to S Carter Enterprises on his Instagram account, which you can check out in the gallery above, as well as Jay Z's photo.
Only 1000 copies were made, were you one of the ones who purchased it? If you didn't have $100 to shell out, you can download the tape for free below.
Shout to Jay Z for buying 100 copies of #Crenshaw! http://t.co/0q0ymjOiFg http://t.co/L2HGopo7Ob

Why Nipsey Hussle Is Selling His Mixtape For $100!
"It’s 2013. Whether we except it or not, buying music is a choice, not a requisite. When I think of the psychology behind what makes me purchase an artists album, it’s always a form of reciprocation. Almost like a token of appreciation after I experience the product.
The reason I chose to charge $100 dollars each copy and only start with 1000 units is because I tailor making my music for those who are listening…it’s not about stepping outside of what I’m known for in hopes of new discovery. What that means less is fans that are better served. (Kinda like the effect of less kids in a class room leading to a better education)
I’m more or less focused on fully serving the ones that have connected all ready. That being said its a value over volume thing…if I’m goin to offer a product made with no compromise or concession to the platforms (radio, A&R opinion, label bias) ect…ect..then the way we sale it has to change.
Hence PROUD2PAY.
As an artist my goal is to inspire…entertain…motivated…and most importantly INOVATE. And as lovers of art we should base our purchase on the artists ability to do so. That being said, if my presence in the game has had any of those effects on you $100 is your form of saying don’t change.
It ISN’T the price of the plastic case and polyurethane disc…it’s the price of Revolution! The price of Rebellion against an industry that has tricked us all into making products that have no soul for fear of not being heard if we don’t.
I have over 400k followers on twitter 140k on Instagram and 400k on Facebook but what good are they if they don’t mobilize around my releases? if only 1000 of those people are engaged to the point of brand loyalty then that’s who I’m focused on.
That being said: I fux w who fux w me. I have no plans to change up or go left on my people for hopes of a lager audience. And I have a feeling that this 1st 100 will be the evangelist to my cause.
Like Frank Lucas said nobody owns me. We might have to go into the jungle for it to work but once we get it… It’s blue magic.

Drakes First Week Projections For NWTS!!
Many people were wondering if Drake would be able to break the 1 million mark in sales with his new album Nothing Was The Same. The sales projections for the first week are in today, and it seems he's not quite there yet.
Drizzy is on course to sell 675-725k opening week, according to HDD. Is that what you expected?
The first week sales numbers are in for MMG's latest project, "Self Made Vol. 3".
MMG have certainly done their share of promotion for Self Made Vol. 3, with plenty of videos, leaks, and special events leading up to its release. The sales numbers are now in for the first week, and the project has moved 51,355 units.
Compared to the 64k Self Made Vol. 2 did in its first 7 days, the newest installment had a fair run, but may not have done quite as well as Rick Ross and company were counting on, which raises the question-- did it need more Gunplay?

The project is being held up by samples clearances. Once the samples are cleared TDE will put out a release date. Mean time we have Schoolboy's single "Collard Greens" featuring his label mate Kendrick Lamar. Should hear new music from Schoolboy in the next week. 2 Chainz First Week Sales!!
Numbers Are In!!!
2 Chainz released his second installment to Based On A True Story B.O.A.T.S. II Me Time one week ago. It was recieved by fans as another success. The albums production was on point with a variety of sounds. He said while he was recording this album he didn't reach out for any features and that the features on the album are truly organic. He made artist such as Fergie, Lloyd and Ma$e come into his world for the records they collaborated on. "Me Time" was projected to only move 55k-65k albums his first week. In an interview with the Breakfast Club in New York Tity Boi said he would buy a new car if sales were under 50K. Well he still might by a car because his album did a respectable 60K units!
